Data Collection

Muslim Qibla does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your location, reciter preference, and settings are stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

When you allow location access, your GPS coordinates are used solely to calculate Qibla direction and prayer times. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party APIs:

• Aladhan API — prayer times and Hijri date
• alquran.cloud — Quran text and subtitles
• mp3quran.net — Quran audio streaming
• OpenStreetMap/Overpass — Halal restaurant and mosque search
• ipapi.co — IP-based location fallback

These services receive only the minimum data necessary to fulfill your request (e.g., coordinates for prayer times). No personal identifiers are sent.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies/localStorage to remember your preferences such as dark mode, selected reciter, and city. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Children's Privacy

Muslim Qibla does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
